Kfardebian, Keserwan district
The story of Vignoble JOURA, located in Kfardebian at an elevation of 1300m, starts in 1948. This site is a family-owned winery which cultivates old Merwah vines, a grape variety of Lebanese origin, which were grown by their ancestors and used to make molasses, sweet wine and arak.
In addition to the Merwah, they have, since 2007, planted new vines of the Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah varieties, as they initially started making wine for their own home consumption, and now for commercial release.
