L’histoire du Centre de recherches et d’études arabes (CREA) remonte à 1945, date à laquelle il voit le jour à Bikfaya sous le nom de Centre religieux pour les études arabes (CREA), afin de former à la langue arabe les religieux destinés à travailler au Proche-Orient. En 1972, le CREA rejoins l’Université Saint-Joseph à Beyrouth. Il étend ses services au grand public, notamment les non-arabophones, et change d’appellation pour devenir le Centre de recherches et d’études arabes, tout en maintenant le sigle originel, CREA. Après avoir été rattaché à la Faculté des lettres et des sciences humaines, le CREA est actuellement rattaché à la Faculté de langues et de traduction (FdLT). Ses activités couvrent aujourd’hui 3 volets principaux : la mise à niveau et le perfectionnement en arabe aux arabophones (étudiants de l’USJ et grand public), l’enseignement de l’arabe classique et dialectal aux non-arabophones (universitaires et du grand public) et la recherche en langue arabe (centre de recherche avec axe de travail et thèses, élaboration de matériels et de tests).

Kids on Kords

Kids on Kords is the first music school in Lebanon dedicated to make Music Education accessible for all children especially kids with special needs. They provide every child the opportunity to explore and master his musical potential in a well-adapted environment, using case-customized teaching techniques. They provide music lessons in: Piano/Keyboard, Guitar (acoustic and electric), Percussion, Music Production and Music Awareness.
