Kefraya, West Bekaa district
Vines have been growing for more than 2,000 years in Kefraya’s village, where the Romans were established, already making wines at that time. Château Kefraya was established in 1979, during the Lebanese war and this remarkable feat was achieved thanks to the vision and passion of its founder Michel de Bustros, who - 25 years earlier - had already built his Castle. The vineyard situated at 1000 meters above sea level, on the foothills of Mount Barouk in the Bekaa Valley, is characterized by a stunning diversity of soil types, due to the existence of Yammouneh’s tectonic rift, traversing the vineyard. Also, Chateau Kefraya solely uses its own grapes for a true expression of its terroirs in the wines.
The domain’s Oenotourism is very rich, with vineyard and winery tours, amateur and connoisseur tastings. A restaurant Le Relais Dionysos is open every day of the year to welcome you for lunch and dinner.
