Start the walk near the Chehabi castle and follow the marks through the town until you start to leave it behind through the tiny streets to the north-east. Follow the marks until you leave the paved road and then turn right downhill on an agriculture road to reach a cleared foot path. Continue down it as far as the oak forest on your right hand to reach a dirt road. From there continue to the village of Abou Qamha and once you reach the main church square, go down the steps past the spring to a dirt road that leads to the main paved road. Continue straight on this road for a short distance and then climb up to the right along an agriculture road and follow to the right a nice path that will lead you to a dirt road and on to el Hasbani river. Cross the river on the concrete level barrage and to the other side of the river (the water level might be high in spring and winter), continue through the orchard near the water canal until you reach the caravanserai. Cross the paved road and take the dirt road that climbs up near the UN base. From there walk down left on a concrete road than right on a paved road that leads you to the pine forest of Hima Ebl el Saqi. Continue walking through the forest on the foot path than reach a dirt road and through the village. From the Norwegian museum turn right and follow the marks to a paved road. Continue straight and follow a dirt road to reach the main paved road next to the water plant. Cross the road ,walk a short way before climbing up to the right on another steep dirt road.
