Born in Shouf in 1971, Rony Richa developed an interest in fashion at an early age. Although first studying interior architecture, he eventually enrolled to study fashion design in 1991 at CAMM Fashion Academy, the cross road to reach his ultimate goal and vision. In 2000, freshly out of college, Rony launched his own label and was a great success. He is continuing to refine his trademark of contemporary design imbued with historical and cultural influences from his Phoenician background.
He is continuously looking for more ways to use colours found in nature, historical landmarks, history and folklore, which this land has plenty of. Rony is currently channeling his passion for the grandiose and the fanciful with ocean-enchanted women in gowns, chinoiserie shawl dresses and huge Masaï necklaces for his next show. Rony ensured that, once again, the fashion world will be presented with a new look. Greatly influenced by Emmanuel, who showed amazing versatility and variants in his work, although Rony clearly has a different twist in this day and age, similarities in what influence and inspire these two artist is clearly evident from their work.
