Rayak, Zahleh district
Winemaking has been a passion of the Maalouf family for hundreds of years. In 1914, the family escaped the famine in Mount Lebanon caused by WWI and took refuge in Rayak. The region’s unique climate and terrain provided their wine with an unexpected wealth of flavours, aromas and rich colours. The winery became Château Rayak in 2015.
